Stewardship Sunday

of Time, Talent and treasure

in our Church

November 8, 2009

On Sunday November 8 we will celebrate

Stewardship Sunday in our parish.

On the model of the widow of today's gospel

that gave 2 coins, but all that she had,

we also want to motivate our parishioners to donate

to our Church what God has given to them:

Time, Talent, Treasure.

Ministers of our church that already give their time

as lectors, ushers, and serve on liturgical and financial committees

will give their witness at all Masses

on how important is to serve our church

and the joy they find in doing so.

Please, be opened to share the talents that God has given you.

All Saints Day Children Parade

November 1, 2009

Dear parents,

you have received a letter asking that your children would

dress up as saints and present the saints of your choice.

In our religious education program we aim at teaching the children

the live of the saints, ordinary people like us

who lived the Christian message in an extraordinary way.

As children throughout our nation are getting ready for Halloween,

we want to stress the holyday of All Saints in order to give children

examples they can follow in their christian life.

Please, be cooperative of this effort.

St. Nicholas RSS FEEDS

October 9, 2009

Dear parishioners,

in an effort to be at pace with modern times,

our office will communicate with parishioners

a new way of spread news, called RSS Feeds.

I am also new to this system, but I have found it very useful

in keeping in touch with selected topic or news of my interest.

You can receive your Church news by adding the Feed

to your favorite Web-based Newsreader like My Yahoo, Google, Aol

or receiving it on your Pocket Pc by means of a

free RSS Feed Reader, like Beyond Pod 3.1.1

I hope you will decide to take advantage

of this new mean of communication to get quickly in touch with parish activities.

Click on the icon RSS title to reach St. Nicholas Parish Feeds.
